PPWC is encouraging each member to step up and become safety leader in their everyday work.
After a proud history spanning over 50 years, the Pulp, Paper and Woodworkers of Canada on September 15, 2015, voted to change their name to Public and Private Workers of Canada. Now, at their first safety conference under their new name, the Public and Private Workers of Canada have chosen Kevin Burns as their keynote speaker at the annual PPWC Safety Conference in Vancouver, BC.
Encouraging their members to "take back the safety program," the PPWC is encouraging each member to step up and become safety leaders in their everyday work. To help make that happen, Kevin Burns will address the Joint Health & Safety Committee members at the PPWC Safety Conference and offer them strategies to improve their safety leadership capacity.
The Public and Private Workers of Canada oversees eight union locals representing over 3,000 members across British Columbia.
