And it may be the one thing that costs you the most in productivity, safety, and engagement. Nobody talks about this part of the promotion. The day your best crew member became a supervisor, every relationship they had at work changed. The people who had their back last week now work for them. The conversations they used to have? Gone. The informal support system? Gone. And the rest of the management team? They're not ready to fully adopt them yet either. They're in a "no man's land" on the org chart. And it's not a people problem.
