Its work with PeopleWork Supervisor Academy began in 2020 as a safety project, led by Safety Manager Billy Shearer. What changed didn't just affect safety.  ## What NBU Found In NBU's 2024 Gallup engagement survey, the 400 employees at the time gave 1,413 responses across six categories: 85% responded about what keeps them at NBU 80% identified positive changes 78% made recommendations for supporting their leaders And they asked for more: more communication from their supervisors, more support and more development. After a few successful years of coaching, NBU's senior management team made completing PeopleWork Supervisor Academy a requirement for anyone who seeks a people-leader role. NBU recently passed 1,000,000 work hours without a lost-time incident. That credit belongs to their supervisors and crews.
