Build Your Leadership Capacity in Safety (video)

20 years ago, most safety positions that we have today didn’t exist. Right now, we are seeing the emergence of large numbers of front-line safety positions being eliminated and taken over by better-trained front-line supervisors and foremen.

Safety people need to get ready for the changes coming. When it comes time for companies to determine which direction they will go next with regard to safety, it will be the valuable people, not the position, that will determine who stays. You need to make yourself more valuable all around - not just in safety.

Leadership is not about how good you are at your job. Leadership is about how good you are at helping others become exceptional at their job. You need to become a leader and adopt the leader mindset.
